Business Revitalization Committee Formed

Wednesday October 7 saw the formation of the Business Revitalization Committee in Vulcan. The committee incorporates members of town council, the chamber of commerce, the nine in a line art society, communities in bloom, VBDS, and members of the business community.

Following next week's session to review the full report from Roger Brooks' analysis of the area, a formal plan will begin to be put together by committee on how to move ahead with revitalization.

Its important to note the difference that many business and building owners have made already with additions to their storefronts and empty spaces. We can build off the actions of these individuals and move towards projects such as the new light standards downtown, pocket gardens, etc. Remember to put any and all comments in the comments section of this article. The more voices the better.

Here is an example of a large pocket garden in Black Diamond that was put in an empty space owned by the town.
